Inland Empire Memories member institutions will collaborate on projects to further enhance collections across institutions. Such projects may include:

  • Digital Humanities
  • Digitization
  • Born Digital Management/Access
  • Processing
  • Preservation

Resource Sharing, Grant Writing, and Fundraising

Resource sharing, grant writing, and fundraising will be major tenets of the initiative in an effort to not only maximize available resources, but also to foster relationships among institutions. Inland Empire Memories will have an active program of seeking grants from appropriate federal, state, and private funding entities and will seek extramural support from donors, friends, and other community members. As the home base for Inland Empire Memories, all grant activities will be administered through the UCR Library, though opportunities to collaborate and partner on these opportunities will be open to all Inland Empire Memories member institutions.

Outreach & Education

We anticipate a robust outreach and education component to Inland Empire Memories, which will include participation from all member institutions. Such events will include:

  • Symposia
  • Seminars/Workshops
  • Exhibits (digital/physical)
  • Research Fellowships
